Mobile Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a mobile developer who works hands on. You will build and maintain iOS and Android apps that are already in production. The work is real and ongoing. You will add features, improve screens, connect APIs, and fix bugs. Most of your time will be spent writing code and improving what already exists.

This is not a greenfield role. You will work inside a large codebase. The work is iterative and focused on shipping steady improvements. You will work closely with engineers and product people based in the US.

What You Will Do

• You will implement new features in existing mobile apps. You will build and refine UI screens based on product requirements and designs. You will integrate REST APIs and backend services into mobile flows. You will debug issues found by QA and users in production. This includes crashes and edge cases.
• You will refactor existing code to improve structure, performance, and testability. You will take part in code reviews and technical discussions. You will work within established app architectures and follow existing patterns. You will coordinate with backend developers when API changes are needed. Over time you will help improve build, deployment, and testing workflows.

Core Responsibilities

• You will develop and maintain production mobile applications. You will make sure new features are stable, performant, and easy to maintain. You will follow platform best practices for UI, lifecycle, and navigation. You will write clean and readable code that can be tested. You will communicate progress, blockers, and technical concerns clearly.
• You will own features from implementation through release and post release fixes.

Required Experience

• You have at least five years of professional mobile development experience. You have strong experience with iOS using Swift and UIKit or SwiftUI or Android using Kotlin and Jetpack with XML or Compose. You understand common mobile app architectures such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
• You have experience working with REST APIs and JSON. You are comfortable working in a large existing codebase. You have debugged production issues and crash reports before. 
• You are familiar with Git based workflows and code reviews. You can work independently and communicate clearly with a remote team.

Nice to Have

Experience working on both iOS and Android is a plus. Experience with SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose is helpful. Experience with Firebase services such as Auth, Analytics, Remote Config, or Crashlytics is useful. Experience with map SDKs, push notifications, or deep linking is also a plus. Writing unit tests or UI tests for mobile apps is appreciated.

Tools and Technologies

Depending on the platform you will work with Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Xcode, and Fastlane on iOS. On Android you will use Kotlin, Android Studio, and Jetpack libraries. You will work with REST APIs using JSON. Version control is done with Git in Bitbucket. We use common tools for issue tracking and communication such as Asana and Slack.

What Success Looks Like

Features are delivered on time with minimal rework. The code fits the existing architecture and stays clean over time. Bugs are diagnosed and fixed efficiently. The apps become more stable with each release. You become someone the team can rely on to take ownership of features end to end.
