Accountant and Payroll Specialist – Nis, Serbia
Our Nis office is growing, and we are looking for a dynamic, career-oriented individual to join us for the position of Accountant and Payroll Specialist.
Job description:
- Prepares financial reports, keeps business books and maintains databases that serve for business planning and analysis.
- Be in charge of income, expenses and calculation of the company's financial results.
- Taking care of the following: calculations of salaries, travel orders, debts to suppliers and receivables from customers, calculations of tax expenses, sick leave, etc.
- If necessary, manages the cash register, for which they keep a cash register and prepare cash reports.
- Keeps records of the company's fixed assets, documentation of warehouse operations
- Spends time covering our clients' businesses – specifically their financial needs and goals
- Has the appropriate level of knowledge and experience for independent management of business books, preparation and compilation of financial reports, internal audit and control reports and external audit
- Undertakes tax planning exercises for clients
- Prepares financial statements and produces budget according to schedule
- Assists with tax audits and tax returns
- Supports month-end and year-end close process
- Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Analyzes financial information and summarizes financial status
- Processes monthly payroll & payments to employees / authorities.
- Collects information about hours worked for each employee
- Calculates the correct amount including overtime, deductions, bonuses
- Prepares payment orders in an electronic system or completes payment checks
- Manages monthly statements
- Processes taxes and payment of employee benefits
- Keeps track of hourly rates, wages, rates, compensatory allowances
- Responds to salary requests from employees and superiors
- Prepares reports for management or the finance department
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years experience in Accounting department
- Proven experience in payroll processing
- Knowledge of the local legislation and regulations in the field
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and Pivot tables
- Previous experience in Pantheon is an advantage
- Awareness of business trends
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
- Fluent in English
