PLC Programmer

PLC Programmer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Programming and commissioning of electrical or electronic control systems for the production.
• Functional testing and acceptance of new systems.
• Creation and maintenance of specifications for new projects.
• Analyzing the errors and faults in device systems and controls by using necessary diagnostic systems. Determination of the type and scope of the fault/damage elimination according the scope of technical and economic possibilities in consultation with superiors.
• Carry out troubleshooting.
• Adaptation of machine controls, correction of machining programs, implementation of test runs and creation of relevant documentation.
• Definition and initiation of order processes for wear and spare parts.
• Data backup / maintenance and documentation of the programming activities carried out in the activity tracking system (Maintenance Work Order and LogBook) as preventive maintenance or repair.
• Disposition and commissioning external companies as part of the work task.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum IV level of education
• Preferably work experience in the automotive industry
• Experience in work with Siemens TIA portal
• Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and frequency converters; knowledge of robotics is an advantage; experience in reading and analyzing the electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics schemes
• Experience in PLC fault diagnostics
• Ability for fast trouble solving, systematicity, precision and analytical work
• Advanced knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Preferably knowledge of German
