Job Description

► Derive required data models from current demand planning processes and specify analytical tasks which could be solved using statistical and machine/deep learning methods
► Improve existing data driven forecasting models by adding and exploring additional data, testing model enhancements and fine tuning model parameters following the CRISP DM approach
► Transfer planning specific expert knowledge into analytical recommendations for development team
► Adjust and maintain forecasting and data models according to process and IT landscape changes
► Screen and analyze forecasting models from scientific research
► Provide data driven answers to demand specific business questions.

Qualifications

► Completed studies in Computer science / Mathematics / Physics / Engineering or comparable analytical course of studies
► Work experience: 3 - 8 years as data scientist preferably in demand forecasting
► Knowledge: machine learning and time series forecasting algorithms, experience in sales/logistics planning, Python, statistics, data modelling, SQL and relational data, agile methods (scrum),
► Tools: Python IDE, Oracle SQL Developer/Toad, MS Azure, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SAP ERP SD
► Working style: Hands on, strong analytical, independent / autonomous, target oriented & creative, good team player, reliable, ability to steer group of data scientists
► English (fluent in spoken and written)
