Senior Accountant – Accounts Receivable
Key Job Description:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing key accounting activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards, local tax regulations, and the company's internal procedures. This role requires a high level of independence in day-to-day operations, as well as providing significant professional support in documentation preparation, financial reporting, and data reconciliation across multiple information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and processing of outgoing invoices, including organizing data to ensure accurate and timely VAT returns, including the POPDV form
- Independent posting of financial transactions in accordance with the relevant chart of accounts
- Managing electronic records within the SEF (electronic invoicing) system, creating individual and summary reports, and reconciling data between the SEF and accounting software
- Reconciliation of receivables with customers, preparation and review of open items reports, and conducting balance confirmations
- Participation in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation for internal and external audits
- Performing intercompany reconciliations of receivables and payables within the group
- Updating internal procedures and contributing to the implementation of new tools or software solutions in accounting and reporting
- Creating ad hoc analyses and reports for management needs
- Monitoring current tax and accounting regulations and ensuring compliance with legislative changes
- Collaboration with colleagues from the finance and commercial departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- University degree in Economics (preferably in Accounting and Finance)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger, financial reporting, and taxation
- Experience working with the SEF platform and ERP accounting systems
- High level of independence and accountability in work
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills
