SEO & AEO Strategist

We are currently seeking an experienced SEO & AEO Strategist to join our team and support our partner company, a dynamic performance-based growth marketing agency with over two decades of experience in collaborating with B2B manufacturing, industrial, and clean energy companies in the US and Europe.

As an SEO & AEO Strategist, you will lead the agency’s organic visibility strategy across traditional SEO and AI-driven discovery (answer engines/LLMs). You will own the SEO/AEO function - building playbooks, leading audits and quarterly planning, setting quality standards, implementing and ensuring deliverables are accurate and client-ready.

Responsibilities:

• Own SEO and AEO strategy across clients, turning business goals into prioritized roadmaps
• Lead audits and opportunity assessments (technical, content, keyword/entity, AEO visibility)
• Perform technical SEO evaluations (structure, indexation, schema, speed, content quality)
• Execute on-page work (titles/meta, headers, internal linking, redirects, content updates)
• Deliver AEO activities (entity development, structured data recommendations, AI visibility improvements)
• Build/review content briefs, outlines, keyword maps; provide light editing/creation as needed
• Maintain tracking and reporting setups (analytics, keyword tools, AI visibility tools) and contribute to client-facing insights and recommendations
• Review, approve, and QA work from implementers and subcontractors to ensure high standards
• Partner with Client Success and Revenue to support planning, scoping, and strategic conversation
• Collaborate with writers, developers, and designers for cohesive execution
• Maintain SEO/AEO playbooks, templates, documentation, and internal knowledge sharing  (workflows, reporting guidelines, audit/optimization cycles)

Requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years in SEO and content marketing, or a similar role, with proven success in driving organic growth
• Proficiency with Semrush and other SEO tools (Ahrefs, Screaming Frog), Databox, Google Analytics
• Knowledge of Hubspot (plus) or a similar CRM (Salesforce)
• Strong command of WordPress for technical and on-page optimization
• Deep understanding of technical SEO, entities, schema, and AEO-able to QA accurately and guide others
• Excellent verbal and written English skills, with experience explaining complex concepts in simple, actionable language for internal teams and clients
• Collaborative, adaptable, and curious about search, AI, and LLM evolution
