We are looking for: Social Media Manager
Role Objective
Position Quectel as the leading global IoT solutions provider through on-going social media and SEM activity. Responsible for the planning, implementation, management and monitoring of company's social media strategy to increase brand awareness, lead generation and increase sales.
Role Activity
- Create and implement a social media strategy that supports business goals across the organisation for Quectel and associated brands.
- Build a consistent brand and tone of voice across all social media platforms including, but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X.
- Deliver an internal agency model to provide high level social media support to all divisions within the organisation, including, but not limited to marketing, technical, sales and c-suite as appropriate.
- Establish best practise for social media activity across the organisation, providing point of reference for all social media activity, liaising with marketing, sales and product development teams.
- Define and deliver most important social media KPIs and create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X.
- Create and manage paid campaigns on LinkedIn designed to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns to drive targeted traffic, maximize ROI, and support overall digital marketing objectives including lead generation.
- Ensure an on-going schedule of thought leading content is developed, in line with the company brand and messaging strategy, and distributed across all social media channels including, but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X.
- Manage all social media channels for inbound activity, responding in a timely manner to any queries or managing responses from across the organisation.
- Liaise effectively with across internal departments and with external partners as required to deliver partner social media activity where required.
- Communicate with appropriate industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
- Deliver effective reporting on all social media activity as required on a regular basis in line with organizational goals.
- Utilize the most effective social media tools and stay up to date with the latest social media best practice and technologies.
- Develop, implement and manage paid social media activity and budget to:
- Support adjacent marketing activity including white paper development;
- Build brand awareness of the organisation in new vertical sectors and current sectors as required;
- Create a leads sales funnel as appropriate for all Quectel products;
- Where appropriate, manage and mentor team members within the organisation, including interns;
Requirements
- English language speaker, ideally with a Bachelor’s in Marketing or a related area.
- At least three to five years’ experience as a social media specialist or manager, ideally in a tech industry.
- Excellent knowledge of all social media platforms especially LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube with proven success in brand building and follower growth.
- Understanding of social media KPIs and strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience of creating paid social media campaigns, specifically on LinkedIn, designed to build brand awareness, increase follower growth where appropriate and deliver lead generation.
- Experience and understanding of Google Ads activity implementation to drive similar results to paid social media campaigns.
- Experience in creating social media images on graphics platforms such as Canva.
- Experience in audience identification and creating bespoke campaigns to target specific sectors.
- Ability to multi-task and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives, supporting Quectel and sub-brands, at once in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player, able to collaborate effectively across departments in a large global organization.
