Job title: Software Engineer Data Specialist (m/w/d)
Location: Čačak, Serbia

Job Description:

• Independent design and implementation of data analytics and integration solutions based on business requirements, standards, policies and data architecture and strategy of the company by applying best practice software engineering.
• Automating information/data lineage in software defined ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL and other relevant coding frameworks and languages.
• Actively designing and implementing the technological landscape of hybrid data lake and data warehousing within on-prem and cloud environments.
• Documenting solution design and implementation work results in standardized form and dynamics.
• Providing support for ad-hoc analytics, auditing and business intelligence projects and processes.
• Backed by experience, use and propose AI tools for empowering department’s and overall IT project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in information technology, mathematics, business informatics or a comparable qualification.
• Profound knowledge of software engineering best practices and experience with common version control tools (Git) and agile project management (Azure DevOps)
• Mid to senior experience in software engineering,
• 3 years practical experience in programming language Python for data processing and related frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with hybrid data lake utilization for D&A. Apache Airflow, Databricks delta lake and Lakehouse functionality experience a plus.
• Advantage: experience with container technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, AI tools supporting CICD, PowerBI.
• Strong SQL experience, at least 3 years implementing ETL/ELT data pipelines. Hybrid (on prem/cloud) experience a plus. Airflow, Spark and Kafka technologies a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of relational databases.
• Proven experience with Databricks and Delta Lake on Azure.
• Good to have experience in Synapse Analytics workspace, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, AI tools.
• Nice to have: knowledge of column-based in memory databases, SAP HANA, SAP BDC, SAC, SAP Open Hub, Snowflake, PowerQuery.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving skills with documentation practice
• Solution-oriented mindset with team environment collaboration attitude.
• Self-responsible working style with transparency and openness.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Good to have: German language proficiency.
