Job title: Supplier Quality and Development Engineer

Location: Čačak, Serbia

Job Description:

• Participates in the selection and qualification of suppliers, coordinates activities related to the quality assurance of purchased parts and services.
• Reviews and verifies accompanying inspection certificates, oversees the first sample inspection process, and ensures compliance with requirements.
• Defines and coordinates inspection plans and inspection frequencies in cooperation with internal teams and suppliers.
• Oversees the material receiving process and the results of special and additional inspections.
• Initiates and leads the complaint process towards suppliers, evaluates the effectiveness of corrective actions, and approves them when necessary.
• Participates in the supplier evaluation system, monitors its implementation and effectiveness.
• Actively participates in problem-solving in collaboration with logistics, process, and production departments.
• Prepares and maintains inspection and PPAP/PPF documentation, monitors deliveries and approval of PPAP processes.
• Conducts process audits at suppliers according to VDA 6.3, checks compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
• Initiates and leads supplier development activities through the implementation of process improvement programs, training, and monitoring the implementation of defined actions to achieve the required level of quality and performance.
• Provides expert support to teams in critical situations to ensure production continuity.

 Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering profession (additional qualification with focus on quality management would be an advantage)
• Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control of purchased parts, with a focus on monitoring and analyzing results.
• Experience in handling complaints, evaluating, and verifying corrective and preventive actions.
• Knowledge and experience in supplier development processes, including process audits according to the VDA 6.3 standard.
• Familiarity with the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard and relevant customer-specific requirements.
• Experience in conducting and approving PPAP/PPF processes for supplier qualification.
• Proficiency in applying problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa).
• Experience in inspections following the PPAP/PPF process and process analysis at suppliers.
• Advanced skills in using MS Office tools and the SAP system.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate teams.
• Good understanding of product development and procurement processes.
