Systems Admin(m/f)

City: Belgrade

Job Responsibilities:

• Management, administration, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux server environments.
  Provide system support for virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud services (AWS).
• Automate tasks using basic scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.
  Ensure system security and integrity by applying best practices in cybersecurity, regular patches, and monitoring security events.
• Collaborate with teams of different functions to design and implement scalable and efficient systems.
• Work on cloud infrastructure and services (primarily AWS) to secure, implement, and maintain server environments.
• Implement backup systems and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve system and network issues in the shortest time possible.
• Maintain and improve system configuration documentation, procedures, and best practices.

Key Qualifications:

• Advanced experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Knowledge of scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.) for task automation and process optimization.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, focusing on securing systems and networks from vulnerabilities and potential threats.
• Practical experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS (Amazon Web Services) for securing and managing cloud environments.
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools and logging systems.
• Solid understanding of networking principles, firewalls, and load balancing (e.g., NGINX).
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.

Desirable Skills (Optional but Preferred):

• Certification in AWS, Linux, or Microsoft areas.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with “Infrastructure as Code” tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
