Tool Designer

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Tool Designer with experience in casting and machining processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing tools for brass and zinc alloys, as well as creating 3D models and technical documentation to support efficient production.

Your responsibilities:

• Design of tools for the production of sand core, tools for low pressure brass casting of Brass and tools for casting of Zinc alloys 
• Designing of clamping accessories for machining zinc alloy and brass castings, according to specifications
• Designing accessories for setting up castings on SHL robots
• Implementation of changes in the design of tools for casting Zinc and Brass alloys, as well as elaboration of possible solutions for tool repair
• Designing different parts to improve the production process in the Foundry, Machining or Grinding and Polishing
• Preparation of technical documentation for machines and equipment in the production technology of Zinc alloys
• Coordination with the tool room department for the production of parts 
• Coordination with external suppliers, regarding the creation/modification of tools for casting Zinc and Brass alloys and the production of sand cores

Your profile:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of Catia V5 and V6 (3DX)
• Creating 3D models and complete technical documentation required for the production and assembly of tools
• Production-oriented design of new tools (core molds and low-pressure casting molds)
• Advice on the optimal design of molded parts in ongoing development projects
• Participation in the creation of feasibility assessments
• Tool-cost estimates
