Accountant - English and French speaking

Job Summary

The position of Accountant will be responsible for general accounting, bank bookings, cost accountings and will be trained in order to be autonomous for financial closing, reporting and SOX activities as well. This position is targeted for development within our organization and the ideal candidate will keep climbing the financial ladder with the finance department.

Qualifications

The Accountant must possess outstanding analytical skills, strong communication skills (both oral and written), proven problem-solving capability and strong computer skills including MS Office products. Some accounting experience is also required. Active usage of English and French language is crucial for success in this position.

Specific Responsibilities

• Suppliers’ Invoices registration
• Procurement process management
• Bank transactions booking
• Monthly intercompany balance reconciliation 
• Monthly rolling inventory
• Weekly “overdues report” production and relationship with the credit collection supplier.
• T&E costs booking

Will be trained on and will be able to autonomously perform this activities within 2021:

• Monthly recharge reports and related monthly invoices issued to the Ametek Italy hosted BUs
• Assist with monthly close procedures, including journal entry preparation, account analysis and review of actual v. budget/forecast
• HFM package review and submission
• Preparation of budgets’ data for the hosted business units
• Quarterly SOX tests

Experience

Must possess a desire to advance your career into higher positions. Strong desire to take initiative on projects, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage several projects simultaneously.  Efficient work-flow processing with attention to details. Must be proficient in Excel (basic and advanced). Experience on Navision ERP system is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 6-month experience in accounting/financial roles.
