POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Ecommerce Technical Lead, you will be responsible for setting up, supporting, and maintaining the platform and it’s connected components while establishing ecommerce best practices and assuring a secure and compliant environment for the company to sell online. To help achieve our ecommerce goals, you will work with both internal and external technical and business resources to support ongoing projects and other activities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform configurations required to set up, maintain, test and upgrade any new and existing stores, while adhering to approved standards, security and data privacy policies. This includes any add-on tools that may be used by stores.
- Lead and manage the ecommerce vendors and development agencies to assure successful implementation, integrations, and customizations on the stores.
- Perform some development for minor customizations.
- Participate in discovery sessions with internal teams to document business requirements to assure there is alignment in scope and cost with development agencies.
- Work with Global Ecommerce Manage to establish a strategic roadmap.
- Establish and implement best practices to leverage the ecommerce and add-on tools for scalability and control.
- Provide ongoing support of requests and tickets to and resolution of issues including any root cause analyses with actions for the ecommerce platform and it’s add-on tools.
- Lead the evaluation of add-on tools as they are needed to support the strategic roadmap.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the information technology disciplines or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supporting a platform or similar application set. This would include the following:
- Project Management
- Oversight of vendors
- Integrations
- Establishing best practices
- Experience with BigCommerce or similar ecommerce is a plus
- Some business process mapping and handling redesign as needed.
- Experience in integration to payment gateways and tax tools.
- Developer skills include: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Handlebars, REST API, GraphQL, Node, and SCSS
