We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Fuel Supply & Logistics Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing fuel supply operations, ensuring efficient logistics, and optimizing stock management to support our retail and wholesale business. This position requires a strong ability to coordinate transport, liaise with suppliers, and analyse market trends to optimize financial outcomes.
Job description:
- Fuel Supply Management: Oversee and manage the entire fuel supply process, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries to petrol stations and wholesale customers;
- Logistics Coordination: Organize and monitor secondary transport logistics to optimize routes, reduce costs, and ensure uninterrupted fuel supply;
- Supplier & Partner Relations: Maintain strong communication with suppliers, logistics providers, and other key partners to implement contracts, negotiate favourable terms, and secure the best fuel procurement offers;
- Stock & Inventory Optimization: Monitor and manage retail fuel stocks, considering market trends, demand fluctuations, and pricing strategies to enhance financial performance;
- Invoice & Contract Reconciliation: Regularly review and reconcile fuel supply and logistics invoices against contracts and offers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed terms;
- System Updates & Data Management: Maintain up-to-date records in SAP and other internal systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of data related to fuel supply and logistics;
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and submit regular reports on fuel supply chain performance, costs, stock levels, and key market insights to support decision-making.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Previous experience in fuel supply, logistics, or supply chain management;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and optimize fuel supply strategies;
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory and logistics management;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
