  • You have good knowledge and experience of creating shifts and organizing working hours, according to local legislation and company standards;
  • You have experience of working in a customer-focused service industry, preferably retail;
  • You are self-reliant, motivated and persistent with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently;
  • You have computer proficiency with advanced MS Excel skills;
  • You have ability to communicate confidently and clearly in the local language and English;
  • You demonstrated ability to co-ordinate people and tasks, follow up and work with a sense of urgency;

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Implement people planning strategy at unit level to ensure compliance with IKEA employment standards, local legislation, and union requirements that relate to People Planning;
  • Create working shifts for employees;
  • Ensure timely evaluation of timecards for proper payroll processes;
  • Lead the partnership with department managers to co-create and post schedules on a timely basis, securing co-workers, customers and business needs are met;
  • Collaborate proactively with department managers to develop unit people planning priorities;
  • Be an active link between unit People & Culture and unit Business Navigation to ensure scheduled and actual hours  are following business forecasts and identify areas of opportunity and improvements to best meet planning gaps, financial frames and other growth potentials;
  • Collaborate with Recruiting Manager and People & Culture Manager to ensure vacancies are reviewed against defined headcount, contract level and type to secure co-workers create a  great customer experience;
  • Contribute to the awareness and sharing knowledge of the people planning principles and process at the unit  level, ensuring education, training and support is relevant for all roles and functions;
  • Support the development and implementation of the digital people planning solutions.
