Senior Engineer, Modularization

What is the job about?

As our Senior Engineer, Modularization you will be responsible to support definition of the group Architecture and Modularization strategy for manufacturing equipment and secure cost competitiveness and give input to modularization proposal towards Grundfos Divisions and manufacturing domains. Deliverables focus on line and cell platforms, critical function element modules etc. Through modularization work, contribute into the A&M guiding star targets, 30% reduction in Capex investment, Opex, Energy consumption and Lead time. Aligned across Group AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering), A&M. Continuously work on line and cell platform development and maintenance the platform for effective re-use by Grundfos Divisions and manufacturing domains.

The key activities in that role are described in the following:

• Support life cycle management of new manufacturing platforms and architectures to be used across the divisions within relevant area - including all the needed interfaces and standards
• Support definition of the Architecture & Modularization Strategy for manufacturing equipment in Grundfos across Divisions and global manufacturing plants within relevant area
• Support the implementation of our future global standards for Modularization and Standardization for manufacturing equipment in Grundfos
• Support auditing of AME Division functions for use of processes and architectures
• Support definition and the implementation of A&M process and tools
• Prototyping of modules related to new platforms or innovations
• Communicate and advocate A&M knowledge
• Communicate benefits of modular architecture in running activities
• Ensure creation of relevant lines, cells, functional elements, tools, and interfaces in Grundfos Design Library (Both internally and externally) within relevant area.
• Map relevant assembly process flows in manufacturing
• Support targets for standardization and design elements
• Being a part of continuous improving our supporting business processes (Grundfos Design Library, various templates, explicit use etc.)
• Be responsible for one or more relevant process area, keep developing the know-how in the areas

What do you need to apply?

• 3-5 years of experience within modular architecture
• B.Sc. or equivalent, preferable within Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Strong technical foundation – Practical and Theoretical
• Fluent speaking English and good written English
• Proficient with PLC programming software (Rockwell Studio 5000, etc.)
• Advance use with Lean line design and IE tools.
• Documented skill within modular architecture both practical and theoretical
