Job title: Business Compliance Analyst

About the role and the Team:
The Business Compliance Analyst will work collaboratively to help to ensure that Hyperoptic not only meets the required standards expected to adhere to the relevant regulations and standards but look to exceed those expectations. The individual will need to assist with assessing compliance levels through an auditing programme, ultimately ensuring and driving through compliance requirements to mitigate risks that the company may face. The Business Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Business Compliance function in adhering to the applicable standards as appropriate, including ISO 9001, UK GDPR/DPA 2018, OFCOM General Conditions, Supplier Compliance, and any other relevant regulations and/or standards.
The individual will be expected to lead audit programmes in accordance with the expectations as set out by the Senior Business Compliance Manager, as well as guide and advise the Business Compliance Coordinator(s) when audits are being conducted, ensuring delivery of usable audit data and creation of internal relationships with auditees/stakeholders. What will you be doing?
Key Deliverables:
- Lead audits to provide compliance assurance for UK GDPR/DPA 2018, OFCOM General Conditions, Policy/Regulatory, in addition to supporting the risk programme.
- Assist with maintaining framework to enable Hyperoptic to continue certification to ISO 9001, including supporting with audit work and supporting stakeholders with non-conformity remediation.
- Support framework to successfully adhere to UK GDPR/DPA 2018 & OFCOM General Conditions, highlighting areas of concern or improvement.
- Manage the remediation of compliance issues by working with stakeholders across Hyperoptic.
- Work with stakeholders to deliver a culture of openness and engagement across the business to maximise business compliance assurance.
- Ensure stakeholders understand the value of Business Compliance and how it is relevant to their business area.
Compliance and standards:
- Drive and maintain high standards across the organisation to support Business Compliance.
- Document, report and present on compliance and best practice.
- Support the Compliance department with ongoing projects and improvement programmes to successfully display continual improvement including delivery of small to medium improvement initiatives.
- Track and maintain compliance standards company wide.
General:
- Support the Business Compliance team in maintaining regulatory and quality standards across the organisation.
- Work closely with all members to the Business Compliance team to share knowledge and recommend best practice.
- Promote company values, be an ambassador for Business Compliance and inspire others to do the same.
What we are looking for:
- Strong background in Compliance Assurance and Internal Audit
- Experience of the assessment and remediation of controls against known frameworks
- Experience of developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships
- Strong written and numerical skills
- Confident and highly motivated
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
