  • You have previous HR experience, ideally with emphasis on Co-worker relations agenda
  • Deep understanding about the rights and obligations of workers and employers, and how to mediate the relationship between workers, employing entities, trade unions and the government.

What you will be doing day to day:

About the job

To lead the overall country co-worker relations strategy and follow up together with the organisation upholding our global Co-worker relations principles. Securing the conditions for an engaging and healthy working environment where co-workers develop and perform. Be a strong contributor to the country People & Culture management team and partner with People & Culture Managers in our units (Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine).

About the assignment

  • Ensure the relevant global people policies and standards are fully supported by the management team, implemented across the country and lived up to (e.g. Code of Conduct, Ikea’s employment standards, co-worker relations principles)
  • Establish and foster an ongoing open dialogue with co-workers, their associations and other organisations, contributing to successful negotiations with worker’s council/labour union.
  • Lead the development of country P&C policies and procedures in line with employment law compliance and secure implementation and follow up
  • Contribute expertise to leadership development in relation to co-worker relations, behaviours and trust throughout the organisation.
  • Lead the I Share (yearly co-worker satisfaction survey) process on South East Europe level.
  • Lead and develop the problem resolution process on country level, securing consistent execution and follow-up, and secure analysis of root causes.
  • Identify, evaluate and monitor actual and potential labour issues evolving internally or externally that could create significant risks for IKEA.
  • Lead and develop the health and wellbeing framework by creating the H&W strategy, actions and content
