Job title: Financial Analyst (18 month FTC)

About the role and the Team:
We are looking for someone to work within our Management Accounts team as a Financial Analyst/ Junior Management Accountant. Here at Hyperoptic, we have a best in class approach to producing management accounts, with monthly departmental performance reporting, analysis of the consolidated Group position and supporting processes and accounting policies. We are looking for someone who is capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines and accepting feedback as a guide to develop and improve. You will ideally have experience in a similar role and be able to communicate clearly and effectively within the business.
What will you be doing?
- Production of monthly management accounts (including P/L, B/S & C/F statements for each entity and at a consolidated level), departmental performance reports, working capital analysis, warehouse reporting, and Board reports.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations, backup schedules and working papers are complete (monthly or periodically as required) including the payroll journal, maintaining the fixed asset register, posting depreciation.
- Liaising with local external accounting agency, regulatory and banking authorities.
- Assist in the preparation of year end audited accounts and respond to audit requests;Work with various stakeholders to drive improvements in data quality/integrity.
- Provide support to the Finance Director as necessary.
- Timely production of information to a high quality, with an acceptable value of corrections;
- Month-end processes completed by the agreed working day, as set in objectives, with no slippage
What we are looking for:
- University Degree
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience of working in shared services / central finance role
- Willing to share work and explain the approach taken and constructively give and accept feedback – logical, structured approach to working with others
- Experience of working in a geographically dispersed team
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Desirable - Knowledge of IFRS
- Desirable - SAP & SAGE knowledge
