Quality Engineer

Magna Seating in Serbia, present since 2012, specializes in sewing seat covers for the automotive industry. Our main customers are renowned automakers such as BMW, Audi, and Škoda. The first production site was opened in Odžaci in 2012, and a second plant was launched in Aleksinac in 2020. In our production unit in Aleksinac, we are looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for managing the work of Quality Technicians and Quality Auditors, and for ensuring product quality at all stages of the production process.

Main Functions and Responsibilities:

 Quality Assurance at the Project Launch Phase in accordance with APQP/RGA and PPAP/PPA

• Develop PPAP documentation (mandatory quality elements: Control Plan, MSA, quality control instructions, etc.).
• Monitor measurements and tests according to the established frequency.
• Study and familiarize the team with specific customer requirements.
• Provide backup and support to the Project Team.

 Quality Assurance in Serial Production

• Implement containment activities, drive the removal of containment measures through Corrective Actions, and update all related documentation as needed.
• Collect and analyze statistical data on product quality at all stages of the production process.
• Communicate the “Voice of Quality” to promote a “Quality Mindset” in each department.
• Maintain and update current Production Control Plans.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA) according to the audit schedule.

 Nonconformance Management

• Lead root cause investigations of nonconformances.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement Preventive/Corrective Actions (PCA).
• Manage nonconforming raw materials, components, and finished goods in accordance with Magna procedures.
• Maintain records and provide necessary information for analysis and reporting on quality costs to management.

Claims Activity

• Lead claims activities related to customer complaints and warranties in accordance with the problem-solving procedure (8D).
• Report claim status to management.

Requirements

• Education level V, Diploma in Engineering
• Over 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in the Quality department of an international company
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
• Advanced experience in problem-solving (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa)
• Experience with core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
• Fluency in English (must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken form)
